Everything we see around us had a beginning. So. Did God? In this episode we take a look at one of the biggest questions in the universe. Next, we unwind a little with optical illusions and the tricks our eyes play on us. Then we hear from you about the three main types of rock.
It’s a brain bending program. Let’s get started!

Who Made God?
This question is one kids and scholars have asked for thousands of years. It helps us understand what God is like. It also helps us start to understand just how infinitely big He is no matter how you look at it!
I prepared for this discussion by rereading an article I shared by Bodie Hodge of Answers in Genesis. He explains things so well, I just asked him for permission to republish it. No need for me to rewrite his vocabulary.
Using SearchCreation.org, I found more articles helping us try to wrap your brain around this reality:

Optical Illusions
Nothing works as well for many illusions as a printed book. You can probably find a book or two at your library.
And for more you can check out the best safe websites I found:
National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences: Kids, Illusions
The Optics 4 Kids has a page about the International Year of Light and Light-Based Technologies
I also ran into a moving optical illusion to try. You can check out the video right here:
What do you think? Cool, huh?! 😀
Rock Types
Geology rocks. Today we look at the basic groups geologists use to classify rocks.
You can learn more by getting your own copy of Exploring Geology with Mr. Hibb and by checking out these websites:

Bonus Question
Class Zone has an interesting diagram about the rock cycle. Looking at it, you start to think all rocks are endlessly recycled between the three types.
But, is it an endless cycle?
Even long age believers know there had to be a beginning to the earth. The Bible tells us God made the dry land appear on Day 3 of Creation Week. Those of us who believe what God tells us know there are some Igneous rocks today that are as old as the earth.
There’s an awesome thought for you.
Who has counted the handfuls of water in the sea,
measured off the sky with a ruler,
gauged how much dust there is on the earth,
weighed the mountains on scales, or the hills in a balance?
Before him all the nations are like nothing.
He regards them as less than nothing.
With whom, then, will you compare God?
By what standard will you evaluate him? Isaiah 40:12,17-18 Complete Jewish Bible
