Hi, I’m Cheri Fields: 2nd generation homeschooling mom of seven, editor, writer, podcaster, and science lover.
I believe God spoke everything into existence in six 24 hour days as stated in Genesis 1 and that the world “which then was” perished in the global flood of Noah’s day as II Peter 3:6 says.
We all know the key to changing society is to win the hearts of children. In just a few years they develop into leaders: of families, communities, and the world. As followers of Jesus, we recognize their eternal destiny will be shaped by their willingness to accept Him as their Rescuer and Lord.
There is a wealth of information available to help people see how trustworthy God and His testimony in the Bible is. No follower of Jesus needs to compromise with atheists on evolution or the billions of year that theory requires.
Scores of creation scientists publish articles showing how their worldview fits the facts far better than Naturalism. However, being written by scientists, things can seem really complicated at first.
The key to increasing our family’s faith in their Creator is to explain concepts simply so everyone can understand
This is my goal and I’ve had a lot of fun tackling areas where the world tests our faith.
CS4K is also designed to be a go-to place for finding resources in the Creation Science field. Every time I run into a ministry website, it gets plugged into one of the Links pages. I’ve got a growing apologetics collection just for Teens.
Best of all, I’ve collected the Ultimate Guide to Kids’ Creation Resources. To access them, just plug in your first name and email:
Not only will you be able to use all these other resources with your kids, you’ll keep up with what’s happening in the creation community each week
I’d love to hear from you: what you think about what I’ve already posted and what you would like to read about in the future. We will never get to the end of all that God has done- Psalms 119:96!!!
“I read your short book on young earth and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to having done discussions with my boys.
More books would be great. Especially if they are available as an e-book!
I’m very interested in the young earth versus old earth debate. I loved the way you put your view across!
Looking forward to your mails and Facebook page.
Thank you for what you do!’ ~Anne B. Uganda
I believe God gave us his word, the Bible, as our only source of spiritual authority.
I believe God exists eternally in three persons, the Father-the source (John 5:30) and end of all things (1 Corinthians 15:24), the Son-Jesus Christ-whose death is the only way to be restored to relationship with God (1 Timothy 2:5), and the Holy Spirit, who is a true person with feelings (Ephesians 4:30) and will (1 Corinthians 12:11).
I believe all human beings have souls that will endure forever, either as God’s redeemed children with him in heaven (John 3:16; John 14:3,6) or in hell (Matthew 8:12; Revelation 20:14-15).

How Creation Science 4 Kids got started
When my fourth child was a baby, I asked God to help me earn enough money to take my husband to visit Israel with me. But, what in the world could I do while caring for a young family? God reminded me of past dreams of writing. I also love teaching and being around kids. Within a little while, He had provided funds to take a children’s author writing course.
Turned out I stink at fiction writing, but aced writing my science assignment. Science was always my favorite subject growing up; writing about it was even more fun. Even the vocabulary wasn’t too scary since my parents are medical professionals. I’d been reading science journals for decades.
I could do this!
But who to write for? There are only a few science magazines for kids and it’s not easy to get into them as a beginner. Plus, it just didn’t seem right to tell people about all the amazing things God’s made without talking about Him, too. It looked like blogging was the way to go, and creation science for kids was what I wanted to focus on.
When I saw no one had snapped up the name “creationscience4kids” or anything like it, I knew this was God’s leading. But, now there was the worry of the flak I would take speaking out for our Creator God. Over the next few weeks, God helped me turn my fear over to Him and see how badly a ministry like this is needed.
Turns out, most creation science materials are written by scientists, which is wonderful, except…. It’s hard for them to remember the everyday words most adults use, let alone the kinds of words kids know. Most of the books they put out make your eyes cross or put you to sleep just trying to wrap your mind around what they’re saying.
But the ideas they share aren’t that hard to understand, you just need easier vocabulary and bite sized pieces to keep from getting overwhelmed. There was not only room for a non-technical lady in the mix, there was a huge gap waiting to be filled!
So, CS4K opened shop in March, 2012
Now there is this blog/website, social media presence (see the bottom of the page for where to find me), an ebook and podcast. I’m also doing everything I can to develop my editing skills to support the entire biblical creation community. That trip to Israel is still a ways off, but the knowledge of God’s presence in my life is near.
Want to hear more about my life as a writer? Smashwords set up an Interview page that was a lot of fun to fill out. Enjoy!
Since we are here to encourage children and the young in heart to love God more, there will be a zero tolerance policy in the comments on meanness of any kind, including speech that is not God honoring, or which justifies denying God’s role in creation.
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, Ecclesiastes 12:1

I love your podcasts! you are an excellent teacher. Please keep them oming!

Thank you, Lorna! I love making the podcast because I recognize how special the legacy my family gave to me is and want to pay it forward. I hope to make it at least until I’ve gotten through Genesis 11 and perhaps beyond. But the podcast is in the important-not-urgent category of my life and I often have to wait until both I and my cohosts are ready and alert.
God bless and I appreciate you connecting with me. 🙂

Thank you. I don’t share everything I write with my own young brood yet, but you can never start to early teaching children to think from the Bible’s perspective. Blessings. 🙂

Thank you for the encouragement. Over on facebook, I try to have at least one great animal/nature photo a day to post. Some days it’s almost impossible to find one that’s not photoshopped. Yours was delightful.

Awesome site! I love what you’re doing here. Creation Science is actually one of the things that pulled me out of Agnosticism and back to Christ and led me into ministry. God’s blessings on your blogging.

Oh, my, I wouldn’t put it that strongly. Actually, I’m terrified most of the time when witnessing. My main gifting is training up those who are already in the Kingdom to be strong and GROW. Thanks, we all need blessings. 🙂
I’ll have a look at your link when I have a minute.

What a useful and interesting website! I plan to refer to this often. I am co-authoring a series of elementary/middle school science text books with Tom DeRosa, the director of Creation Studies Institute, and published by MasterBooks.
