Best “Proof” that Creation Science is real

[First published April, 2012] Yesterday For His Glory and Praise tagged me with a question and it’s a good one, so here goes.

She said, “You have a great site that gives a lot of information on creation science, so my question to you is what is the one thing that you would share with kids as the best proof of the validity of Creation Science, and why?”

This isn’t the easiest question to answer.  I could point out any number of facts around the world that fit our worldview better than an Evolutionist’s, but none of these in themselves will convince anyone.

The best proof that Creation Science is real is what happens to me when I choose to believe it. This is the same as when we choose to believe that Jesus has been resurrected from the dead. It’s not something that you can pound into someone else’s head who doesn’t want to believe it. But it is real, historically verifiable, and stands the test of life.

Here’s a poem by a man who saw disbelief in others, thought about how he could prove his faith true and wrote out his results:

I serve a risen Saviour; He’s in the world today.

I know that He is living, whatever men may say.

I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer,

And just the time I need Him He’s always near.

He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!

He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart!

You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

In all the world around me I see His loving care,

Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ, the King!

The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find,

If someone is willing to accept this kind of testimony, then the rest of the facts, theories and presuppositions [things you just believe, like 2+2=4] that support Creation Science are able to make a complete picture of life with no gaps in it. If someone won’t accept faith because you can’t test it (not that you can test Evolution either, they just think you can), then no amount of evidence will ever change their mind.

Also, just like our belief in Jesus and His resurrection, our faith in God as Creator is based squarely on the eye-witness written testimony of the God Who Was There and our first great, great grandfathers.  There are only a few other faiths with manuscripts as ancient as ours, but none of them can stand up to the careful searching and testing that the Bible has withstood for so long.

• If there were a Creator God who wanted us to choose Him freely;
• If this God were so powerful that He didn’t need to use slow, wasteful, painful processes to bring everything into existence;
• If He originally made the world “very good,” but allowed sin a chance to enter and wreak its havoc for a time;
• If He also eventually puts an end to sin by catastrophic Judgement;
• If this Creator God still loved us so much that He would do anything to restore relationship with those who wanted to come;
• If this were really the case, you would expect to find what we do.
