Last week I was listening to an encouraging webcast by Jeff Goins for writers/bloggers and he told about the importance of guest posting to get the news about our work in front of more people. I’d heard that before, but had only tried once to ask someone if they were interested (and accidentally timed it for when they were away!) with no results.
What warmed my heart was to hear Jeff say he was so shy about starting out he just posted an announcement on his blog saying he’d be happy to write for others’ blogs. Whew, I can do that!
Here it is….
If you ever want a day off from your blog (or at least the composition time), I’d love to fill in for you. Being a pastor’s wife and 2nd generation homeschooler means I can write about a lot more than creation (or that, too, if you like). Please email or comment and I’ll set things up. 😀
Goins also mentioned helping others out by asking them to guest blog for us, which sounded fun (and time saving). So, I asked another creation blogger if she’d like to be a guest on my blog. It was scheduled to be posted today, but we’re having a few technical difficulties (it’s a new realm for both of us). Lord willing, tomorrow I get to introduce you to someone new and her exciting experiences!
Of course, since she was supposed to be doing the writing work for me, I’d used the extra time to add more dimension to my book manuscript instead of finishing up my star formation post. But, this gave me the chance to write a separate post just on guest blogging today!
Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name. Malachi 3:16 NLT

I’d love to do this! You have my email (the one on this comment) so you could write me with what you would want to see and I could give you ideas for your guest post for my website! Great idea!

I thought about you while writing this post. If I hadn’t met Sara, you probably would have been number 1 on the fill in list. 😀
