The creation of Woman

Genesis 2:22-23 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

The word “woman” is the Hebrew:

ish-shaw’

The word for “man” is:

‘iysh

NOAA Nautical MapTwo books from the library were mildly helpful, although you’ll see they were woefully lacking on how maps were assembled before the satellite era.
