[Podcast Episode 59] We’re finally up to Genesis chapter 3 and the biggest Bad Guy in all history. We start out with a look at who this character is, how far into time this would have been and then lighten things up with a look at meat digestion and a few simple experiments.

Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

I found a great article about who the serpent was by Russell M. Grigg at Creation Ministries International.

Answers in Genesis has a good, short article on how long it would have been between Creation Week and the temptation as well.

Eating Meat

I read from the Creation Matters newsletter put out by the Creation Research Society. You have to be a member to read the current issues, but all their archives are available online to the public. This is one of my favorite creation groups both because they have lasted a long time and are doing original research not just revisiting what everyone else is doing!

Science Experiments

We started out talking about a cool science kit we were given. It’s not too expensive for teaching something that could be dangerous and it really is child friendly:

And my favorite experiment, but don’t just let her show you, try it yourself (with an adult to handle the boiling water)!

Cheri Fields

I'm a homeschooling blogger and book writer. The gift God has given me for His kingdom is to understand complex stuff (mostly) and share it with others using everyday words. It is a joy to share God's wonders with all kinds of people and especially the next generation!
